Beam Contemporary has Closed

After four years of exhibitions, gallery directors Simone Hine and Kyle Weise have decided to focus on artistic projects, curating, writing and research outside of the commercial gallery structure. Screen Space, the not-for-profit gallery downstairs from Beam, and also founded by Simone and Kyle, will remain open, with an expanded program. To find out more about Screen Space, join the mailing list here.

We would like to thank all of the exhibiting artists, clients, curators, writers, employees and visitors who helped make Beam such an exciting adventure. In particular, we would like to thank the artists who we represented: Kim Demuth, Aimee Fairman, Karla Marchesi, Scott Morrison, David Mutch, Clare Rae, Melanie Jayne Taylor, Kawita Vatanajyankur and James Voller. We look forward to following the careers of these rigorous, committed and incredibly talented artists.

We acknowledge the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nations as the traditional custodians of the land on which the gallery was situated.

The Beam Contemporary website will remain online as an archive, documenting the four years of experimental practice exhibited at the gallery.
