Aimee Fairman
Aimee Fairman works across sculpture, installation, and photography to construct enclosed miniature environments which explore landscape as a metaphor for psychological space. The Melbourne-based artist has exhibited both nationally and internationally, including Ephemeral Installations, Kunstraumarcade, Mödling, Lower Austria (2008); Landscape; a space to think, West Space, Melbourne (2008); I’ll Show You My Craft If You Show Me Yours,a collaboration with Al Ouchtomsky, Craft Victoria, Melbourne (2010); and Topographies of the Unconscious, Beam Contemporary (2011). After completing a Masters of Fine Art at RMIT in 2007 Fairman was awarded the AIR-Krems, Kunstmeile Krems, Austria in 2008 and the Rondo Studios Artist-In-Residence, Kultur Service Steiermark, Graz, Austria, in 2009.
