Light Weight continues Clare Rae’s playful exploration of the interaction between performance and photography. The figure in this new series of images is captured in the bright light of the outdoors, and seems almost to have leapt out of the domestic interiors that have dominated Clare’s previous photographic work. This change of location is doubled by a change in medium, with the incorporation of beautifully constructed light-boxes.

Light Weight is accompanied by a short catalogue containing an essay by Stephen Palmer.
