Videos is a survey of stop motion animations by artist Clare Rae. Constructed from strings of photographic stills, these Videos continue Rae’s exploration of identity via a persona that appears continuously throughout her work. Rae’s engagement with photography and performance culminates in moving images that test the boundaries between all three mediums. Here, Rae navigates and defies the limitations of the everyday environments she inhabits. Videos explore tension, portraying situations that offer alternative spatial and psychological interactions between the artist and the possibilities that are held in her surrounds.

Light Weight is accompanied by a short catalogue containing a conversation between Jessie Scott and Clare Rae.
