Stages, a collaborative exhibition of new work by Clare Rae and  Simone Hine (Beam co-director) opens at Boxcopy, Brisbane on Saturday the 5th of April from 6pm. The exhibition continues to the 26th of April. The work has been commissioned by Boxcopy.

Simone Hine is presenting new work as part of Screen Series: Autonomy, a group exhibition at Blindside, Melbourne. The exhibition runs from the 1st to the 5th of April. Exhibition opening: Thursday, 3rd of April, 6-8pm.

Newly commissioned work by Clare Rae is included in Melbourne Now at the National Gallery of Victoria. The exhibition runs from the 22nd of November 2013 to the 23rd of March 2014.

Beam Contemporary co-director, Kyle Weise, has curated the current exhibition at the Perth Centre for PhotographyDarkness on the Edge of Town. The exhibition is an expanded version of a show originally presented at Beam Contemporary in 2011. The exhibition spans video and photography and includes the work of nine artists including David Mutch and James Voller, both represented by Beam Contemporary. The exhibition continues to the 22nd of September.

Scott Morrison, in collaboration with Lawrence English, will be presenting a special live performance commission as part of the Queensland Poetry Festival, on the 24th of August at the judith Wright Centre of Contemporary Arts, Brisbane. Full details here

Kawita Vatanajyankur is part of a new group exhibition at Platform Contemporary Art Spaces, Melbourne: Il Palazzo Enciclopedico (The Encyclopaedic Palace): Melbourne Off-site for the 55th Venice Biennale. The exhibition continues to the 14th of September.

Channels is a new Australian video art festival with an ambitious and diverse program across a range of Melbourne venues. Included in the festival are works by Beam Contemporary artists, Scott MorrisonClare Rae and Kawita Vatanajyankur. Beam co-director, Simone Hine, also has a new work, made in collaboration with Linda Neil, screening as part of the festival.

Clare Rae will be exhibiting new work as part of the SUB12 exhibition at the Substation, Newport. The exhibition opens on the 11th of July and continues to the 25th of August. Clare will also be participating in a forum of artist talks at the Substation on the 21st of July, 1-5pm.

Kawita Vatanajyankur is currently exhibiting a new video work, The Ice Shaver, at the Centre for Contemporary Photography (Melbourne). The exhibition continues to the 14th of July 2013.

Scott Morrison's work, Small Choir, will be included in Images Contre Nature, the 13th Festival of Experimental Video in Marseilles (France). Screenings will take place on the 11th and 13th of July. Further details here.

Scott Morrison is exhibiting his Small Choir video work at Wallflower Photomedia Gallery in Mildura. The exhibition opens on Friday the 10th of May and continues tothe 4th of June.

Clare Rae: Selected Videos is currently on view at the Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ACMI) and continues to the 11th of March 2013. The work can be viewed daily from 6am to 11pm. More information here.

Beam Contemporary Co-Director Simone Hine is currently exhibiting a video installation, No Use Crying, as part of the Ex Post Triennial at the QUT Art Museum, Brisbane. The exhibition continues until the 23rd of December 2012. The accompanying catalogue includes an essay by Emily Lush on Simone's recent work.

Beam Contemporary co-director, Kyle Weise, has written a review of a recent exhibition by Steven Rendall to be published in the new issue of Un Magazine (6.2).
